Fremont Canyon Cardwell Access Area
Evansville to Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park

Evansville to Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park is generally regarded as a half day float.  It is slightly more than 4 miles in length and passes industrial and rural residential developments.

Public access is limited on this section. Public access continues on river right from the boat ramp, under the Curtis Street Bridge to the beginning of the Sinclair Refinery property a block or two below the bridge. There is only one other place to stop on this float. It is under the Coal Creek Road Bridge on a highway right of way. The Coal Creek Bridge is about 3 miles into the float. The next public access begins just before reaching the boat ramp at EKW State Park on both sides of the river. Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park is accessed via the Old Glenrock Highway (Wyoming Hwy 20-26) a few miles east of Casper. EKW requires a day use fee or annual passes may be purchased.
